Heart Healthy Fudge Raw Brownies

Heart Healthy Fudge Raw Brownies – take care of your heart with a treat! This is for fudge and brownie lovers out there who want to enjoy their decadent squares sans flour and refined sugar. The ingredients stand alone as yummy and healthy, but put them all together and you have a treat that you can share with every age on every occasion!

½ cup walnutschocolate brownie

½ cup hemp seeds

¼ cup sunflower seeds

¼ cup milled flax seeds

¾ cup dates

¼ cup unsweetened coconut

¼ cup plus 2 Tablespoons raw cacao powder

3 Tablespoons grass fed gelatin powder

2 Tablespoons melted coconut oil

1-2 Tablespoons organic maple syrup or raw honey

1/8 teaspoon sea salt

½ cup full fat coconut milk

1 cup dark chocolate (80% or more) 1/8 teaspoon liquid stevia (optional)

Put all of the ingredients except the last two in a food processor and blend well until the mixture holds together.  Line an 8×8-baking pan with parchment paper, or a large loaf pan for thicker brownies, and press the mixture into the pan until it is flat.  Place in the refrigerator for 1 hour. To make the fudge topping, melt the coconut milk and dark chocolate in a double boiler (I just use a stainless steel bowl over a pot of hot water), then add the stevia and mix well.  Pour the melted chocolate mixture on top of the cooling brownies (doesn’t have to be the full hour) and use a spatula to flatten.

Place brownies back into the refrigerator until the fudge layer is firm.

Slice brownies with a knife and enjoy! This recipe is very simple and yummy! Bring to any event!
